The Apple Cider Vinegar Diet, Fact or Fluff?

I have always heard don't knock something till you have actually given it a try. I have been doing some research on natural uses of Apple Cider Vinegar, and have read many articles about the Apple Vinegar Diet. So, I have been giving the diet a try for the last two weeks, and so far it has worked for me. I have lost ten pounds, and I am happy with the results.

The directions for the diet are as follows:

Take two teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar (Preferably Mother's Vinegar) before each meal. The Mother's Vinegar has not been put through the purification processes such as Heinz. T he presence of the mother shows that the best part of the apple has not been destroyed. Vinegars containing the mother contain enzymes and minerals that other vinegars may not contain due to over processing, filtration and overheating . Be certain that you don't purchase Heinz Vinegar for use with your diet, the active ingredients of the Mother have been removed and will not be as effective as the unfiltered vinegar. I tried the Heinz for two weeks and it didn't work for me.

Apple Cider Vinegar has been said to have more medicinal uses:

So is the Apple Cider Vinegar diet fact or fluff? I would have to say it has worked for me Give it a try and see what you think.

I also challenge you, do some research on the Internet for other medicinal uses of Apple Cider Vinegar. You will find your study very interesting.

Hi, I heard about the acv diet from my sistter and was wondering if it really worked. I've reviewed several websites and there are many different views on this. Regardless, I'm desperate and since Braggs acv is organic and only mixed with water I figured what the hell. I hope it works! I'll give it a month???

The ACV can kill Candida Yeast infection in your gut. The cleanse is very helpful and can lower your cravings for sweets. Combine with healthy diet and regular excersise and you can lose weight. A diet is a way of life, not a quick fix.

I just picked up Pure Apple Cider Vinegar at the grocery store - Heinz brand . . . I paid something like 2.50 for it - I bought some Omega (Mother) ACV at a health food store the other day and paid double.

I seem to be getting lower blood sugar readings since I started doing the Omega brand - I won't know if the heinz is going to make a difference till I begin that bottle - in a couple of weeks, I guess.

I did not, however, notice a loss of appetite - I seem to be more hungry - but I have also started Q 10 - so maybe that's making me hungry.

The foods I'm craving, btw, are the good foods - not junk, btw - so maybe that's good.

Since I was diagnosed as Diabetes 2 in August, I've become more aware of what I'm eating - that, in itself, is a miracle.

Carly - The Heinz brand is no good. You need ACV with the "Mother" still in it. The Heinz brand has been pasteurized and the enzymes have been destroyed. I know it is more expensive but you get what you pay for. I buy Braggs brand ACV at the health food store, it seems to be the most popular. Buy whatever brand you want just make sure it says "mother".

I just started adding ACV to my diet today in addition to The Seaweed Solution  which I have been using for months. The Seaweed Solution works really good (I lost about 30 pounds in 8 months so far), I'm just trying to accelerate my weight loss.

I've tried different kinds of vinegar, in differnt diluted strengths, and it ALWAYS gives me headaches. It's completely predictable--I know if I drink ACV, I'll have a bad headache soon. I never find comments from other people about headaches. What is up with that/me?

Pl check the room temperature when you get headache. It may be independent of ACV. Lower the room temperature. Have proper ventilation. A fan also may solve your problem.
